The journey of crafting Paspaley pearls commences amidst the beauty of the Kimberley region in Western Australia. Working from specialised vessels, Paspaley divers embark on the task of carefully hand collecting the solitary Pinctada maxima oysters from the ocean, initiating the cultivation of the world’s most prized pearls.

Visitors to Broome have the unique opportunity to witness this pearl harvesting process firsthand, right in the waters where it all originates. Available from April to October, guests can opt for either a morning or afternoon tour directly departing from Broome.

As this is an ocean-based activity, tours are subject to weather, tidal and sea conditions and may be cancelled or rescheduled at short notice for your comfort and safety.  
This tour involves embarking and disembarking marine vessels where tide height and weather conditions can affect accessibility and may be challenging for some guests. Guests should be comfortable with uneven surfaces and steps and have a reasonable amount of agility and fitness to participate in this tour. Guests may get their feet wet on embarkation & disembarkation of the vessel. 
Whilst canapes are provided for tasting at the end of the tour, breakfast & lunch are not provided.
